Within this economic group, people like orphans, widows, disabled, elders, and destitute are core groups of sufferers who are even unable to ensure their daily meals. Fitrah Distribution for the Needy in Bangladesh
Concept of Fitrah in Islam
Fitrah is a concept in the religion of Islam that orders the affluents in the society to provide monetary help for the poor. It is instructed to distribute Fitrah in the holy month of Ramadan (Fasting) as the poor may fast with good food and can celebrate the Eid festival with families.
This is mandatory for rich Muslims and there is clear instruction about the recipients of Fitrah. Ultra-poor can take this fitra but it doesn’t reach the target group lack of organized efforts.
