Who we are
NAHAR is a New York based not-for-profit humanitarian organization that provides emergency relief, rehabilitation, developmental assistance, and program services to vulnerable population of Bangladesh. And we also work with our Global partners to do relief work in South Asia, Africa, Syria, and Gaza Palestine NAHAR is solely dedicated to reducing human suffering in its mission.

Mission Statement
Serve the needs of the most vulnerable- particularly women and children, victims of natural disasters & civil unrest, and the poor. Provide holistic, sustainable and pro-poor programs that bridge emergency relief and lomg-term development at the grassroots level.
We promote self-reliance and continuous development project. We empower communities by building capacity and by maximizing local resources in both program design and implementation. Long term educational and health care programs to reduce and eliminate AIDS, drug and alcoholic dependencies and promote family unity & values.
Our Programs
Health Care
We believe that access to healthcare is a basic human right and a form of mercy deeply rooted in Islamic values. Guided by the
principle of preserving life and wellbeing, we are committed to delivering life-saving medical support to the world’s most vulnerable
communities.
Our healthcare initiatives aim to:
Provide free or subsidized medical care, medicines, and treatments to those who cannot afford them
Establish and support clinics, mobile health units, and medical camps in underserved areas
Focus on maternal and child health, vaccinations, and preventative care
Deliver mental health support, trauma care, and rehabilitation in crisis-affected regions
Partner with local health providers to ensure sustainable and culturally sensitive care
Inspired by the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who encouraged the care of the sick and needy, we strive to restore health,
dignity, and hope—one life at a time.
NAHAR’s Medical Camp
To mitigate the problem of disadvantaged people of Bangladesh, North American Humanitarian Aid and Relief (NAHAR) have undertaken different projects including free medical camps in several rural areas.
● NAHAR arranges free medical camps in several districts of Bangladesh
● In each event, doctors, nurses and volunteers were involved to treat people
● A vast number of people got benefited from those medical camps
● With prescriptions, NAHAR distributed basic medicines for the patients as well.
Orphan Sponsorship
At NAHAR, we are devoted to honoring the sacred duty of caring for orphans and vulnerable children, Through our Orphans and Children Sponsorship Program, we strive to
provide not only financial support but also love, protection, and hope for a brighter future.
Our program ensures that sponsored children receive:
Access to quality education and school supplies
Nutritious food, clean water, and basic healthcare
Clothing, shelter, and emotional support in a nurturing environment
Guidance grounded in Islamic values, with attention to personal development and faith
Regular updates and reports to sponsors, fostering a meaningful connection

Emergency Response
We respond swiftly and compassionately to emergencies, natural disasters, and humanitarian crises around the
world.
Our emergency response efforts include:
Immediate delivery of food, water, shelter, and medical aid to disaster zones
Support for refugees and displaced families with critical survival resources
Long-term recovery assistance including rebuilding homes, schools, and infrastructure
Collaboration with local partners to ensure efficient and culturally appropriate aid
Transparent use of funds with regular updates to donors and supporters

Education
At NAHAR, we believe that education is a divine right and a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty. Guided by the teachings of
Islam, which place great emphasis on seeking knowledge, we are committed to providing access to quality education for children and
adults in underserved communities.
Our education programs aim to:
Empower individuals through both Islamic and secular learning.
Support orphans, refugees, and disadvantaged families with school supplies, tuition, and scholarships.
Establish and maintain schools, learning centers, and vocational training institutes.
Livelihood
we are committed to breaking the cycle of poverty by empowering individuals and families through sustainable
livelihood opportunities. Guided by Islamic values of self-reliance, dignity, and mutual support, we believe in not just giving charity—but
in creating pathways for long-term independence and prosperity.
Our livelihood programs aim to:
Provide vocational training and skills development for youth, women, and marginalized groups
Support small business startups with tools.
Equip individuals with agricultural resources, livestock, and technical know-how
Foster entrepreneurship and job readiness through mentorship and career guidance
Prioritize solutions that are sustainable, culturally relevant.
