About us

NAHAR is a New York based not-for-profit humanitarian organization that provides emergency relief, rehabilitation, developmental assistance, and program services to vulnerable population of Bangladesh. And we also work with our Global partners to do relief work in South Asia, Africa, Syria, and Gaza Palestine NAHAR is solely dedicated to reducing human suffering in its mission.

We work hard for Humanities. Our services would extend to refugees, displaced families and children, the hungry, and the poor and needy etc. NAHAR is solely dedicated to reducing human suffering in its mission.

Mission

Serve the needs of the most vulnerable- particularly women and children, victims of natural disasters & civil unrest, and the poor. Provide holistic, sustainable and pro-poor programs that bridge emergency relief and lomg-term development at the grassroots level.
We promote self-reliance and continuous development project. We empower communities by building capacity and by maximizing local resources in both program design and implementation. Long term educational and health care programs to reduce and eliminate AIDS, drug and alcoholic dependencies and promote family unity & values.

Our Programs

Disaster Response

NAHAR Relief is an international humanitarian organization that actively works to provide relief by participating in disaster response in disaster areas.

Education

NAHAR Relief has established an educational program that provides a tool for educating our youth and their families. Education is the way to empowerment, and NAHAR ensures that children and families know the importance of education.

Refugee Service

It has become very common for member of our Muslim community to be forced to seek refuge in other countries, as there is fear of war and violence. NAHAR Relief provides support to these refugees by collecting donations for household items, food, and shelter.

Orphan Support

One of the most successful programs of NAHAR Relief, which looks to find individuals to sponsor orphans all over the world. Because the orphan program is so important to NAHAR Relief, your donations can help orphans in countries that need it most.

Artificial Limb Support

NAHAR developed a partnership with an international institution, the Center for the Rehabilitation of the Paralyzed (CRP). Through this institution, NAHAR provided rehabilitation services for the disabled Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.

PPE Distribution to Doctors in BGD

NAHAR Relief works to increase access to the best quality health care to those in need all over the world. We have provide free medical camps in the Rohingya camp and several other rural places in Bangladesh. Providing PPE to the Doctors in Bangladesh is one of our current project to fight against Corona virus.

Hunger Prevention

NAHAR Relief provides assistance with the basic necessities as well. NAHAR Relief collect donation and distribute it to among needy people.

Water & Sanitation

Water is essential for everyday life. In order to ensure that water is clean and can be reached within a safe distance, NAHAR Relief arranged Water distribution program in Flint Michigan and established several deep tube water system in several places in Bangladesh.
